My 365-Day Experiment: What Happens If I Actually Show Up Every Day?

October 27, 20257 min read

I Woke Up Tired of My Own Potential

This isn’t another “NEW YEAR, NEW ME” story.
It’s not a COMEBACK post or a MOTIVATIONAL speech either.
It’s me, sitting at my desk on an ordinary day, realizing I’ve been living the same year on REPEAT, BUSY, TALENTED, but painfully STUCK.

I’ve had GOOD jobs, GREAT opportunities, and skills that could CHANGE my life.
Yet, every night, I’d go to bed feeling the same: RESTLESS, UNDERPERFORMING, and QUITELY DISAPPOINTED in myself.

I’ve been JUGGLING MUTIPLE JOBS, chasing COMFORT, and calling it PRODUCTIVITY.
But I wasn’t building anything, I was just SURVIVING.

And one morning, I caught myself asking:

“HOW LONG DO I WANT TO KEEP LIVING THIS WAY?”

That’s when I decided to LOCK IN , 365 days of FOCUS, STRUCTURE, and SILENCE.
Not to prove anything to anyone else, but to finally see what life could look like if I gave it EVERYTHING with consistency.

Why I Needed to Lock In

I wasn’t failing because I didn’t have opportunities.
I was failing because I kept **** BREAKING MY OWN PROMISES.

Every time I said “I’LL START NEXT WEEK,” I trained my brain not to believe me.
Every time I chose comfort over PROGRESS, I weakened my self-trust a little more.

The truth is:

I WASN’T STUCK BECAUSE I LACKED POTENTIAL.
I WAS STUCK BECAUSE I LACKED ALIGNMENT.

I was living out of sync, with my PRIORITIES, my PEACE, and my PURPOSE.

“LOCKING IN” for me isn’t about grinding harder.
It’s about doing LESS but doing it RIGHT .

My 3-Pillar Framework for the Next 365 Days

I realized that all the chaos in my life came down to just three neglected areas:
MY MIND. MY BODY. MY CRAFT.

So that’s my framework for the next year, not FANCY goals, just pillars I can build from.

1. MIND: The Operating System

My mind is where everything starts and ends.
If I can’t manage my thoughts, I can’t manage my life.

I’m learning that MENTAL CLUTTER is the enemy of progress.
The OVERTHINKING. The GUILTY. The SELF-DOUBT.
They don’t DISAPPEAR, they just grow quieter when you build structure.

So, I’ve made a rule: MORNINGS ARE FOR MY MIND.

  • No phone for the first hour.

  • Journal or meditate for 10 minutes.

  • Write one focus for the day.

I’m not chasing positive thoughts anymore; I’m chasing peaceful ones.

2. BODY: The Engine

You can’t build discipline with a TIRED body.
And I’ve spent years underestimating how much my physical energy affects my creative energy.

When I started home workout, I noticed something:
After 45 minutes of exercising, my mind felt LIGHTER, not just my body.

The workout became THERAPY.
Every rep is a reminder that progress doesn’t SHOW IMMEDIATELY, but it compounds quietly.

So this year:

  • 3–5 workouts a week.

  • Enough sleep.

  • No phone in bed.

  • Water before caffeine.

Not for aesthetics, but because CLARITY NEEDS STAMINA .

3. CRAFT: The Currency

This is the work that gives my life meaning, DESIGN, FRAMER DEVELOPMENT, BUILDING THINGS THAT LIVE ONLINE.

I don’t want to be just another “DESIGNER.”
I want to become a BUILDER, someone who can take an idea from concept to something real, something that ships, sells, and scales.

So my craft commitment is simple:

TOUCH IT EVERY DAY.

Even if it’s 30 minutes.
Even if it’s fixing one small bug.
Even if it’s learning a new component in Framer.

Because creativity isn’t built on big projects; it’s built on DAILY MOTION.

By the end of these 365 days, I want to have:

  • 6–8 Framer templates live.

  • A small studio brand that makes real money.

  • At least 2–3 recurring client projects each month.

Not to brag.
But because I want FREEDOM OVER FRUSTARTIONS .

My Daily & Weekly System

It’s not enough to say “I’LL BE CONSISTENT”
You need a SYSTEM that forces you to be.

Here’s mine (realistic, not aesthetic):

Daily:
  • Morning: Mind work; 10 min reflection + no phone

  • Midday: Home Workout / physical activity

  • Night: Craft, 2 hour Framer work, no distractions

Weekly:

Every Wednesday: Log the week.

Earnings
Wins
Misses
Focus for next week **
**Share progress online (authentically, not performatively).

Example:

Week 1/52 ✅
Earnings: $150
Wins: Finished my first landing page section
Misses: Slept late twice
Next week: Better sleep, more consistency.

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s PATTERN RECOGNITION, learning what works and what doesn’t.

What Locking In Really Feels Like

Let’s be real, it’s not glamorous.
You LOSE excitement in the first week.
You wake up tired, you question if it’s worth it, you wonder if anyone cares.

You scroll and see others “WINNING” faster, and you want to give up.

But you don’t.
You STAY. You SHOW UP.

Then suddenly, around week 3 or 4, something shifts:

  • You STOP checking the clock when you work.

  • You START craving quiet mornings instead of distractions.

  • You REALIZE peace isn’t boring, it’s power.

Locking in feels like losing your old self SLOWLY, PAINFULLY, BEAUTIFULLY.
It’s HARD, but it’s HONEST.
And I’d rather live a hard truth than an easy lie.

Lessons I’ve Already Learned (Day 6)

I’m only SIX DAYS in, but here’s what’s already hitting me:

  1. YOU CAN’T REBUILD YOUR LIFE AND KEEP YOUR OLD HABITS. Something has to go.

  2. MOMENTUM FEELS BETTER THAN MOTIVATION. The moment you act, your mind follows.

  3. PEACE TAKES PRACTICE. Silence is uncomfortable at first, but it becomes addictive.

  4. DISCIPLINE IS EMOTIONAL MANAGEMENT. **** You’re not fighting laziness; you’re fighting urges.

  5. THERE’S NO PERFECT START; THERE’S JUST TODAY.

I don’t know how the next 359 days will look, but I know this:
I’m done quitting on myself halfway.

How You Can Start Your Own Lock-In

This isn’t my personal brand challenge.
It’s an INVITATION, for anyone who’s tired of being “ALMOST CONSISTENT.”

You don’t need a FANCY setup.
You just need A STARTING POINT.

Here’s how to begin:

  1. Pick your 3 PILLARS; Mind, Body, Craft (or your versions).

  2. Set your MINIMUM DAILY COMMITMENT .

  3. Create a TRACKING RITUAL; paper, Notion, or tweet log.

  4. Focus on 1% DAILY IMPROVEMENT.

  5. Go SILENT. Work LOUDER.

You don’t need more time, you need more DIRECTIONS.
Start where you are, with what you have.
One disciplined day at a time.

The Promise I’m Making to Myself

This year, I’m not chasing success, I’m chasing SELF-RESPECT.
I want to look back in 365 days and say,

I KEPT MY WORD.

No more QUITTING halfway.
No more LETTING distractions win.
No more MISTAKING movement for progress.

I’m locking in, not to become a NEW PERSON,
but to finally become the person I said I’d be.

If You’re Reading This…

If you’ve ever felt LOST, INCONSISTENT, or BURN OUT, this is your sign to simplify.
Don’t OVERTHINK. Don’t WAIT.
Just pick one thing, do it daily, and track the story.

One day, discipline will become your peace too.
