I wasn’t failing because I lacked discipline.
I was failing because I made my life TOO COMPLICATED.
Too many SYSTEMS.
Too many PLANS.
Too many RULES.
Every time I felt OVERWHELMED, I tried to fix it by adding more structure.
And every time, I COLLAPSED under it.
So I did the opposite.
I removed almost everything.
What I’m left with now is just THREE QUESTIONS I ANSWER EVERY DAY.
The 3 Questions (That’s It)
Every day, I only answer YES OR NO to these:
MOVE
Did I move my body today?
A jog. A walk. Pushups. Anything intentional.
Not fitness goals.
Not aesthetics.
Just movement.
BUILD
Did I spend 2 focused hours building ONE thing?
One Framer template.
One landing page.
Not five ideas. Not multitasking.
One thing.
SHIP
Did I produce proof of work?
A screenshot.
A clip.
A commit.
An export.
UGLY is fine. INCOMPLETE is fine.
HIDDEN progress doesn’t count.
Why This Works (When Everything Else Failed)
This rule doesn’t ask how I feel.
It doesn’t care about motivation.
It doesn’t reward perfection.
It only checks ACTION.
If I hit 2 OUT OF 3 , the day counts.
If I hit 1 OR 0 , I don’t punish myself.
I reset tomorrow.
No guilt spiral.
No dramatic restart.
No “I’ve failed my life” speeches.
Just reset.
The Tracking Method (Even Simpler)
I don’t use NOTION.
I don’t use APPS.
I don’t use DASHBOARD.
I use ONE NOTE.
That’s it.
DATE:
MOVE: YES / NO BUILD: YES / NO SHIP: YES / NO
ONE LINE NOTE:
No journaling.
No reflections.
No emotions.
Just facts.
What This Taught Me
I didn’t need more discipline.
I needed FEWER DECISIONS.
I didn’t need motivation.
I needed A FLOOR I COULDN’T FALL BELOW.
Some days are BAD.
Some days are empty.
Some days I BARELY show up.
But this system survives bad days.
And that’s the point.
If You’re Tired of Starting Over
STOP asking yourself big questions like:
-
“What’s my PURPOSE?”
-
“What should I be DOING with my life?”
-
“Why am I not CONSISTENT?”
Ask smaller ones:
Did I MOVE?
Did I BUILD?
Did I SHIP?
That’s enough for today.
